Join the world of make-believe and play where two vagabonds bring to life a little girl puppet. They call her Alice and set her on a journey to find her lost kitten. Come early and join us for our Stick Puppet workshop featuring Olga and Jenny (PLEASE SEE DETAILS BELOW - this workshop is NOT included with show admission).
Alice enters a world of puzzles inhabited by talking flowers and a motley of goofy eccentrics from Lewis Carroll’s stories. Each of Alice’s encounters—some whimsical, some scary—challenges her sense of reality and sense of self. But she has to find her lost kitten and by pursuing her goal she moves on, overcomes doubts, and in the end even defeats the most frightening creature of the land behind the looking glass.
Puppeteers use tabletop, figure, and rod puppets, altogether about twenty-five puppets of various kinds and sizes. The show is an hour long.
Best for 5 years old and up.
Tickets are $7 each. Purchase online. We also accept cash, credit and debit cards at the door. All tickets are non-refundable unless we cancel the event.
We will be hosting a Stick Puppet Workshop before the Dream Tale Puppets production of “Alice, or the Red King’s Dream” on 11/16 at 1:15 pm. This is directed by our very own Olga Robbins. Workshop tickets are $10 per puppet (show admission not included). We ask that a parent be present to assist with their child’s creation. All tickets are non-refundable unless we cancel the event.
